Description
In spring, the orchards in Fresno area of California turn into dreamlike expanses of trees covered with pink and white blossoms so dense you can barely see the tree limbs they grow on. As the flowers wilt, they shower the ground, creating a carpet of petals so thick that it looks like snow.
When the fruits are ready, it's a totally different scene. The branches are heavy with the fruits that are ready to be picked. And in some cases, an abundance of fruit is so exceptional that they end up on the ground, creating rows of orange color.
The fruits in this image are called gold nugget mandarins (or tangerines). They are golden yellow-orange color and have pebble-like rind.
