Description
The blue-and-gold macaw has a blue body and dark yellow chest. The blue-and-gold macaw is native to many of the tropical forests of Central and South America. They sometimes eat clay, which helps them absorb the poison that naturally occurs in some unripe fruits and seeds. These mountains of clay are called "macaw licks".
