Description
Princeton University Campus features a variety of architectural styles, from Collegiate Gothic to modern metallic and glass buildings by well-known architects like Frank Gehry, I. M. Pei, Cesar Pelli, Robert Venturi and Rafael Vinoly. Lovely landscape and footpaths crisscross the campus grounds, with interesting sculptures and archways everywhere, allowing you to enjoy the ambiance of this wonderful university campus.
Completed by architect Rafael Vinoly in 2002, the Icahn Laboratory houses the Institute for Integrative Genomics. The exterior of the building features an arcade of 40-foot aluminum louvers designed to control the building's heating. Lattice-like design in the louvers cast interesting shadows on the floor that looks like the double-helix structure of DNA.
