Description

Venice, Italy is a fascinating and beautiful place, with canals instead of roads, boats and gondolas instead of cars, with unique culture, traditions and architecture. It is completely surrounded by water and crossed by over 150 canals. The Grand Canal is the biggest and splits the city in two parts. There are over 400 footbridges crossing the canals, some of them are private. Only four bridges cross the Grand Canal, and most famous of them all is the Rialto Bridge.
Dorsoduro is one of the neighborhoods in Venice, with less tourists and many interesting sites. Fondamenta delle Zattere (shown in this image) is one of the best streets in Venice for an evening stroll.
