Artist's Description
This playful flower was covered in unique pink and purple curling petals. I converted this image to black and white in order to draw attention to the textures, lines and details that might be overshadowed by colors.
Chrysanthemums (mums) are one of the most popular fall garden flowers. There are hundreds of varieties available in a range of shapes and sizes that can provide blooms from late summer through fall. Mums are a key element in any fall garden and with their showy colors and unique petals, it’s clear to see why they’re a plant-lover favorite. Chrysanthemum plants require minimal upkeep, last for a long time, and thrive in container gardens. Besides hardy garden mums, there are so called florist mums which are grown to be used as cut flowers.
