Description

Simple but powerful memorial to honor 749 residents of New Jersey who lost their lives on September 11. Two stainless steel walls represent Twin Towers laying on their side and reflect the proportions of the buildings. The names of the victims are etched on the walls. The walls lead visitors to look at the empty space in the Manhattan skyline where the former World Trade Center towers once stood. The memorial is called "Empty Sky". The stainless steel magically reflects the constantly changing light of day. The memorial is located in Liberty State Park in Jersey City.
