Description
It is common in Venice (as in some other parts of Italy) to see clothes lines crisscross the narrow alleys or connecting the windows, with colorful clothes hanging out to dry, allowing a glimpse of someone's private life to be visible in public.
Venice, Italy is a fascinating and beautiful place, with canals instead of roads, boats and gondolas instead of cars, with unique culture, traditions and architecture. It is completely surrounded by water and crossed by over 150 canals. The Grand Canal is the biggest and splits the city in two parts. There are over 400 footbridges crossing the canals, some of them are private. Only four bridges cross the Grand Canal, and most famous of them all is the Rialto Bridge.
